This fall the Distributed Education team will be offering faculty, short, just-in-time virtual training sessions to better facilitate training between both campuses. Faculty will now be able to attend training from their offices or from any location that has a computer with an Internet connection and a phone. We are hoping to record sessions and make them available for faculty after the training sessions.
Training Participation Policy
Space for virtual training will be limited to 15 participants and registrations will be processed on a first come, first served basis. Sessions with less than 6 registrants will be rescheduled or canceled, depending on resource availability.
Highly Recommended: D2L Overview
Due to the intensive nature of the just-in-time virtual training sessions, we are hoping faculty will have had some previous exposure to using D2L (so questions asked during the sessions are relevant to the training topics). This will enable us to make the most efficient use of time and ensure we are staying on topic. If you require an overview and are not able to attend any of the sessions listed, please contact desupport@camosun.bc.ca
Face-to-Face Drop-In Training
The DE team will also be offering face-to-face informal drop-in sessions on both campuses to assist faculty with learning D2L. No registration is required. Please drop by and we will answer any questions or concerns you have. See drop-in schedule
