If your course is taught face-to-face, using Desire2Learn for content management will assist you to organize the documents that you wish to make available to your students. This saves you and your students time by having the documents at their disposal any time and any place as long as they have a connection to the Internet. Having the documents in a digital forms save money by not having you print them and giving the students the choice to print or not.

Using tools such as the Grade Book, the Drop Box, or the Schedule, does not change your course to a Blended or Online course. It is still considered a face-to-face course until you start adding learning activities online.

Activities such as Discussion Forums, Chat Rooms, and Quizzes to name a few, is what turns your course into a Blended or Online Course. If you goal is to use some of the D2L learning activities and tools, the DE staff can provided guidance on best to use them in your course.
